Brief PD curriculum explanation

Our Year 9 Personal Development curriculum is built around Legends and Legacy, encouraging students to learn from those who have shaped the world and consider the legacy they want to create themselves.

Students develop their understanding of mental, physical and online health, positive relationships, sexual health and personal safety. They explore human rights, democracy, law, citizenship, beliefs and different world views, alongside contemporary issues such as digital literacy and gambling awareness.

Through discussion, participation and regular self-reflection, students are encouraged to build confidence, resilience and respect for others. Above all, Year 9 PD challenges students to consider: “What legacy will I leave?”
